Funny stuff.
I've often considered going to one of these little events where lefties hold up signs and whinge about things they don't properly understand, and hold up my own, diametrically opposed message'd sign. Like 'Enslave Tibet!' or 'Harpoon the whales!' or 'Yes to war!'
But I can never really be bothered and lefties tend to be angry, intolerant, and psychotic, and it wouldn't take much for that to translate into violence.
When correctly proportioned, not neccessarily a bad thing...

I carried an ``Idiots for Peace'' sign at a local demonstration long ago. Everyone was cordial, though the philosophy professor who organized it wouldn't acknowledge my existence thereafter. A Camus expert.

Some of the guys I served with didn't particularly think it was the best course of action, but they saw it as a good course of action and one that would be far worse to not finish.
It doesn't matter at this point if it was the best thing to have done, now we are doing it, and if we leave it will be a lot worse then before, if we stay and finish, we will have a better situation for it.
